Meet Miss Osborne
I have been teaching 2nd grade at Christ the King since 2012. In the my year, it did not take long to discover there really is something special about this place! Here is a little about me! I am a Nashville native. I attended Holy Rosary Academy, Overbrook School, and Saint Cecilia Academy. The mission and goals of a Catholic education were something I grew up with and value in creating well-rounded children. I believe in an education that helps students to grow intellectually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. I am so excited to help students as they learn more about the sacraments and prepare for First Penance and First Communion. What an exciting year we have ahead!
My educational background continued on West End Avenue where I attended Vanderbilt University. I received my degree in Elementary Education and Human and Organizational Development. I immediately pursued my Masters in Education in order to feel as prepared and qualified as I could when I entered the classroom. I have had a passion for learning since I was a young child and knew right away the classroom was where I belonged.
Here is a little more about me beyond the classroom. I am very family oriented person. My two sisters are my best friends. Many of you may have noticed my last name and yes, the Osborne’s Bi-rite across the street is my Dad’s. I grew up in the grocery business and have often worked in his stores. I attend mass at Christ the King. One of my family’s favorite traditions is attending Midnight Mass at Christ the King. It is such a beautiful mass. I enjoy hanging out with my family, spending time outdoors, keeping healthy and fit, watching movies and I am a huge sports fan. My favorite team to follow is Vanderbilt. Anchor down! I also cheer for the Titans and the Broncos. I have recently gained an interest in the Predators and have been a fan of the Braves since I was a kid. I enjoy shooting hoops and going on walks with my sisters and friends! Some other interesting facts about me include I love going to the zoo because my favorite animal is the elephant and I try not to go a day without eating ice-cream. I look forward to getting to know all of you throughout this year and please never hesitate to call or email with any questions or concerns!
